Douglas Matijakovich, MD is a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee.
Dr. Matijakovich received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from SUNY Binghamton, NY and his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson, NJ. After medical school, Dr. Matijakovich completed Orthopedic Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, NY, followed by a Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery fellowship at Northwell Lenox Hill Hospital, NY. During his training, he was a team physician for the NY Jets, US Open Tennis Championship, ASA college athletics, and local high school teams.
